(We tested by installing into both C50 & M50 masks & they work perfectly as intended.)
Comes with the two tabs as shown in package.
We believe they are meant to be inserted into the masks internal lugs when not using the glasses inserts.
The frame secures its little split ended-arms into a set of lugs inside the mask, much like the way outserts attach externally, and the little pockets in the mask look to be about the right size for these tabs to sit in. Perhaps these are to stop the lugs getting full of condensation molding over time?
An essential accessory for users of prescription eyewear / corretive lenses.  In an emergency, having clear vision & the ability to negotiate obsticles is a basic requirement.  Gas masks CANNOT be used with regular glasses because the ‘arms’ extend past the sealing surface of mask & therefore compromise the airtight seal of the respirator.  Contact lenses are not suitable either due to the risk of contaminates getting under the lenses which then cannot be eliminated by tears & cannot be easily decontaminated.  In addition in any environment containing toxic agents / compounds the last thing a user wants to do is transfer any toxic agents to their eyes by using a finger to remove contact lenses.  If wearing gloves that would be completely impossible & therefore would require a user to have access to a safe environment to remove the mask & gloves, etc.  This item is designed to work exclusively with the modern M-series & C-series of gas masks & will not work with other gas masks manufactured by other companies.
