the Playbill that was handed out to audience members but rather something produced by Brentwood Television, Eastern Airlines or The Theatre Guild as all of the winners are printed in the program so this Playbill would have been printed after the ceremony.  The hosts for the evening were Angela Lansbury and Peter Ustinov.  Best Play nominees were (A DAY IN THE DEATH OF) JOE EGG; PLAZA SUITE; ROSENCRANTZ AND GUILDENSTERN ARE DEAD and THE PRICE and Best Musical nominees were HALLELUJAH, BABY!; THE HAPPY TIME; HOW NOW, DOW JONES and ILLYA DARLING.  Special Tony Awards were presented to Audrey Hepburn, Carol Channing, Pearl Bailey, David Merrick, Maurice Chevalier, APA-Phoenix and Marlene Dietrich.  Presenters and participating artists include Harold Prince, Alfred Drake, Liza Minnelli, Tony Randall, Sandy Dennis, Gregory Peck, Alan King, Jerry Herman, Anne Jackson, Eli Wallach, Jack Benny, Shirley Booth, Diahann Carroll, Art Carney, Joanne Woodward, Paul Newman, Groucho Marx, Anne Bancroft, Robert Goulet, David Wayne, Michael Rupert, Pearl Bailey, Anthony Roberts, Leslie Uggams, Robert Hooks and Lillian Hayman.  There are production photos of all the nominated shows and headshot photos and bios of all the nominees

Condition is near excellent with minor wear.
CONDITION:
I use a six-step condition scale to describe the overall paper quality:  Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.  Good means just that:  desireable for a collection with no immediate need to upgrade.  Excellent and Mint are usually reserved for publisher and music store remainders.  Expect Good-minus and Fair to have considerable wear.  All specific condition faults are noted after the general condition.
