Antique Mintons China Works England Stoke on Trent Roman Soldiers Ceramic Tile

Description

Antique ceramic tile from the 19th century. I believe this tile depicts three Roman soldiers on a sailing vessel. The colors of the tile are brown and a creamy yellow. The surface has an original gloss shine to it. The tile is 6 inches by 6 inches and is in a dark wooden frame. The ceramic tile is in very good condition. Marked on the back – Mintons China Works Stoke on Trent. Note – this tile was originally part of a fireplace mantle from a mansion in Chicago.
